28 March 2010 Mission: Ubin

It was on the 28 of March. The day the Changi Jetty was full with Madrasah Al-Junied students. All came with two common purposes.First,we all want to clean up one of the beaches at Pulau Ubin.Second,we need to make a blog entry ( like the one you are reading now) about what we did at Pulau Ubin.So this is what had happened......

Getting to the Changi Jetty was easy.We gathered there around 0915Hr.Without delaying much time, the teachers 'sprung' into action. They (the teachers) divided the students into groups of 12 and directed us to the bumboats without much commotions. What a great job they had done.(Thank You teachers)

Enough about the teachers. Now about our little big adventures. It takes about 10 minutes to reached Pulau Ubin from the homeland. Some of us enjoyed the ride....

Upon reaching, some of us rented a bicycle each while others brought their own.My partner and I also rented a.....

Our nice pimp ride...It cost us $5 with no brake and bell (cheap bargain)...normal bicycle cost around $5 to $8 per day....All geared up,we went to the beach ( as if we knew how to reach there)....Due to some misunderstanding,we were lost in Ubin for three hours (!!)..When we (finally) reached the beach, tired and hungry,we grabbed the food ( Nasi Lemak & Nasi Sambal Goreng) and ate it....

After finishing our food, we realised rubbish were everywhere. It was a sight we can never forget (or have we?).It was really dirty & messy. There is one thing we realised. If there were no rubbish at this beach, some of us might not be able to come to Pulau Ubin.

After we did our job,it is time to explore the island. Before that,we took some pictures with mother nature Jr.....

With our pimp ride,we explored the island with some of our friends. We went to the Chek Jawa beach (the name actually slipped our mind).

We discovered a very rare signboard.Have you ever found one in Singapore?!?

Pulau Sekudu or Frog Island, is an islet located just off Chek Jawa on Pulau Ubin,Singapore. It lies in theSerangoon Harbour oppositeChangi. Despite its proximity, it is only reachable by boat, even at low tides.

Well,this is Pulau Sekudu...
Time flew past, the rest left us (my partner, some of our freinds & I)...As a result we had to pay our own fee..It was raining when we left Ubin..We will miss you Ubin...The memories was priceless...People falling down....Illegal racing & many more...

on our way back to Singapore,

we saw U.F.O.s,
(unidentified floating object)

........................................the rain was one of a kind...

THANK YOU
